About the Event

Located in Carrollton, the 32.8-acre Elm Fork Nature Preserve offers valuable wildlife habitat and a one-mile trail for community enjoyment. Unfortunately, parts of the preserve are overgrown with invasive species like privet, making it difficult for native plants and animals to thrive.

Join the City of Carrollton, Dallas County Open Space and TCA for a hands-on invasive plant removal workday on Saturday, July 12! Help restore the health of this unique urban preserve.

Meeting Location: Trailhead at Elm Fork Nature Preserve, Carrollton

What to bring: Please bring refillable water bottles, wear closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, and hats. Tools will be provided. Water will be available to re-fill individual bottles.

❄️🧊Volunteers will meet back at the trailhead to conclude the event and enjoy popsicles to celebrate your hard work!
