About the Event
TCA has partnered with Get Outside Alliance to hold a waterway cleanup at Cedar Hill State Park. Come start your day off with breakfast provided by us and help in cleaning the North Day Use Area.
Following the cleanup, there will be a costume contest with prizes! Come show off your best family-friendly, nature-themed costumes and start the Halloween festivities early!
Cedar Hill State Park is also a great spot for family fun for the rest of the day, with hiking and lake activities available.
Notes on the Location: You are welcome to meet us at the entrance parking lot and follow us or carpool to the cleanup spot. A staff member will be waiting until 9:05 to lead you to the cleanup spot.
To reach the North Day Use Area, drive through straight, through the 4-way intersection after entering the state park, and stay to the right side of the boat ramp. We will have tables set up past the boat ramp, with breakfast, refreshments, and volunteer sign-in.
If you have any questions on the day-of regarding location or get lost, please feel free to reach out to our Conservation Coordinator, Mariana, at 214-934-3786.
Additional Info: As this is a family friendly event, please keep all costumes appropriate for a family environment. Thank you for your understanding!
This event will be held rain or shine.
We hope to see you there!
