About the Event
Lake Livingston State Park is calling for volunteers to assist with an upcoming conservation effort aimed at preserving the local ecosystem. Ranger Eric has announced a Prairie Restoration project scheduled for March 6, 2026.
The primary objective of the event is to remove young trees from the designated prairie area. According to park officials, this intervention is necessary to prevent the prairie from eventually transitioning into a forest.
