About the Event

Join us August 14 to restore a remnant prairie at Tokalon Park. Exotic plants can escape from yards into the wild disrupting natural communities and ecological processes. Invasive species often outcompete native plants by overgrowing spaces and decreasing biodiversity. They serve little use for native wildlife because they have not coevolved together. We need you Saturday, August 14, at Tokalon Park, to remove invasive plants from one of Dallas' few remaining prairies. You'll help restore this prairie toward ecological health and rewild the area to benefit bees, butterflies, bats, beetles, birds, and other pollinators. Join us!
