About the Event
About the Event
Join TCA and the Nature Conservancy’s Clymer Meadow Preserve to collect native plant seeds from the meadow and help ensure the success of future restoration efforts! The Clymer Meadow is a 1475 acre remnant prairie in Celeste, Texas that plays an important role for wildlife as one of the largest remaining areas of our Blackland Prairie habitat. By collecting seeds that will go back to Clymer Meadow to support the continuation of their work, you can play a role in protecting native flora and fauna habitat for years to come. All are welcome to come on out for a fun and rewarding morning in the meadow learning about native plant seeds and the best methods of collecting them!
What to bring: Please come dressed for outdoor work in tall grass, with long pants, boots, water, and a hat! Sunscreen, bug spray, and gloves will be provided if needed, but you are welcome to wear your own. Popsicles may be handed out to cool off after the event!
Please sign TCA's online liability waiver before the event at : https://www.tcatexas.org/liability-waiver
