About the Event

Looking to make a positive impact on the environment? Join us for a special conservation event in collaboration with Texas Conservation Alliance (TCA), Preservation Society for Spring Creek Forest, and the Dallas County Parks and Open Space Program.

This event is ONLY open to volunteers aged 18 and above. Volunteers will assist in controlling the overgrowth of woody shrub species that threatens the beauty of a wildflower prairie. By utilizing controlled techniques for treatment application, volunteers will manage the abundance of aggressive plants, allowing prairie species to thrive and ensuring the preservation’s ongoing health and vitality. Please note that this event requires adherence to safety guidelines. Upon RSVP, more details regarding the event will be provided.

Agenda:

9:15 am – 10: 15 am – Orientation and Workday

10:30 am – 12 pm: A wildflower tour and conservation efforts led by Dana Wilson followed by lunch
