About the Event
Description: Join us at Deep Ellum Urban Gardens to create a pocket prairie for migrating species this spring by planting Texas native plants in Deep Ellum! Migratory species like the Monarch Butterfly, Dragonflies, and birds all need a place to rest and relax and often find their way into our city's inner core. We will be planting native plants so that Monarchs will have a place to lay their eggs, sip nectar, and rest! We will walk to two other locations to plant native pollinators: Patagonia 2626 Main St. and end at Westlake Brewery 2816 Commerce Ave.
Volunteers:
- Wear gloves, sun protection, long sleeves, and pants
- Bring water
- Prepare for gardening activities
