About the Event

Join TCA at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1836 on Saturday, October 7, at 9 am to restore wildlife habitat. Although it is a small body of water, VFW Lake provides habitat for several wildlife species in an urban environment. The lake is home to many native fish, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, and bird species. We will remove litter along the banks of the VFW Lake, as far into the trees as we safely can, and along the roadside in front of the VFW. If you own a set of waders, feel free to bring them so we can remove even more litter in some of the accessible shallow areas. Join us to improve water quality and restore critical habitat on our first Adopt-a-Spot cleanup, an Angelina Beautiful/Clean Project!
