About the Event

Meet at the pavilion in Grace Dunne Richardson Park at 8:00 AM. From there, we will head down the Azalea Trail to Hurricane Creek.

Join TCA to remove litter pollution from Hurricane Creek and help protect wildlife in the Neches River Basin. Hurricane Creek winds throughout Lufkin, making its way to the Neches River, and eventually empties into the Gulf of Mexico. The accumulation of litter on that long journey to the ocean can pose a significant threat to the survival of many species. Animals often mistake litter for food, and some get entangled in fishing line and other debris. Together we can make a significant impact on the health of this ecosystem. So come on out and help us protect our East Texas wildlife, our state’s coastal habitat, and marine wildlife!
