Valentines for Vets

Join Texas Conservation Alliance in supporting Texas GLO's "Valentines for Vets" Campaign Saturday, February 7th, 2026. We will be set up at the Sundew Trailhead within the Big Thicket National Preserve in Warren, TX.

This event is designed for ALL ages! Get outside and enjoy the scenery of the Big Thicket while creating Valentines Day cards for our Veterans. We will have a variety of pre-made cards, art supplies, and other materials to show off your creativity! We will also provide free snacks and drinks. Afterwards, head off for a hike down the sundew trail with loops ranging from 0.3 miles to 1.0 miles.

Texas GLO created the Valentines Day for Vets Campaign in 2021, to help send thank you cards to thousands of veterans that live within 10 vetetan homes across the United States. Not only do our Veterans protect and serve our country to provide free and safe access to public lands like the Big Thicket, the Texas GLO Department also helps protect Texas' coastal resources by protecting over 350 miles of Texas coastline by managing natural resources, funding habitat restoration projects, and more.
