TCA has developed a project, headed up by Board Member Richard Donovan, author of Paddling the Wild Neches, to encourage businesses in East Texas to use nature scenes from the East Texas region on their websites and office walls. The purpose is to build appreciation for the beauty of natural areas and engage interest in protecting them. Sixteen East Texas photographers have donated images to use in TCA’s 2014 video The Pineywoods of East Texas.

Longleaf Pines

The longleaf pine was a predominant, upland forest species that has been practically eliminated in East Texas. Watch TCA’s video to see the many benefits of longleaf pine restoration in Texas.
