About the Event
The Neches River Rendezvous is a fun and family-friendly 10-mile paddling adventure down the Neches River. After a long hiatus, the Rendezvous is finally back! Under the leadership of the Angelina & Neches River Authority (ANRA), the event will retain many traditional elements of the original, such as lunch at the Boggy Slough and souvenir t-shirts for participants. ANRA is introducing new, fun ideas this year, including contests and games, vendors and food trucks at Boggy Slough, and prioritizing conservation and education-based practices, including their Stash Your Trash litter campaign.
No experience is necessary to participate; however, anyone under 18 must have a legal guardian present. Life jackets are highly recommended. Safety checkpoints will also be located along the paddling trail.
Registration for participants is open now, but spots are filling up fast! This year, the event will be limited to 100 paddlers. A volunteer guide and a sponsor information packet are available on ANRA’s website: https://www.anra.org/conservation-recreation/neches-river-rendezvous/
For more information, call the Authority’s Central Office Facility at (936) 632-7795, email recreation@anra.org, check the website above, or find both ANRA’s and the Rendezvous’ event pages on Facebook. We can’t wait to see you out on the river!
