About the Event

Help TCA and the Friends of Northeast Denton in removing litter and preventing it from entering our waterways and harming wildlife! We will be removing litter from roadsides that border Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center, 2,900 acres of natural habitat that is open to the public year-round. This greenbelt, within which Clear Creek and the Elm Fork of the Trinity River meet, includes bottomland hardwood forest, upland prairie, riparian, and aquatic habitats that are crucial for the survival of thousands of animal species. Maintaining a clean environment in the areas which surround this green-space is integral to the health of the ecosystem as well as those ecosystems downstream - including along our Texas coast!

Event Time: 8 AM - 9:30 AM

Meet: 3310 Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center (CCNHC)

Parking: Parking is available at the CCNHC parking lot

What to bring: Please bring refillable water bottles, tennis shoes, sunscreen, and hats. Trash grabbers, gloves, and trash bags will be provided. Water will be available to re-fill individual bottles.

Volunteers will meet back at the CCNHC parking area to conclude the event and enjoy some fresh popsicles!

*** Please complete TCA's liability waiver before the event : https://www.tcatexas.org/liability-waiver
